Charlotte Moreno Kølkjær

Kølkjær (b. 1990) is an artist based in Copenhagen. Working primarily in ceramics, she explores concepts of decadence and metamorphosis—both as aesthetic expressions and as cultural-historical narratives—viewed through contemporary perspectives on femininity and beauty. Through sculptural objects and material studies, infused a sensitivity to the subtly vulgar, she examines how desire, value, and time become embedded in surfaces and objects.

The Wake, 2025 by Anne Sofie Meldgaard
Anne Sofie Meldgaard

Meldgaard is born in 1974 in Seoul, Korea. She lives and works on Bornholm, where she moved to in 2009 from Copenhagen. She is educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (1994–2000) as well as the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm (1998).

Anne Sofie has exhibited at numerous Danish museums and art halls – such as Randers Art Museum, Bornholm Art Museum, and Himmerland Art Museum.
She has distinguished herself with her still-life painting, primarily featuring floral motifs. The materials are traditional – oil on canvas – but the style is expressive, contemporary, and original.

At first glance, the works appear decorative and colourful. But as you move closer, you see how the welcoming beauty of figures and abstractions resembling flowers is created through a wide range of painting methods and specialized techniques.

Solo Exhibition by Danish Artist Michael Á Grømma: March 27th - April 24th 2026

Looking ahead to march, we are pleased to present Michael Á Grømma’s second solo exhibition, "Som jeg husker det", at Galleri Christoffer Egelund.

Grømma is the only remaining member of his immediate family, having lost his sister in an accident and both of his parents to illness. In his paintings, he seeks to reconcile past and future through his own distinctive visual language and expression. Memories of his childhood with his sister and parents in Odsherred merge seamlessly with scenes from his present-day life with his wife and children in Copenhagen.

As he himself describes it, the canvas is the only place today where such a meeting can truly take place.

Mark your calendars for the opening on march 27th. 16.00-19.00. We are looking for looking forward to share this reconciliation of past and future with you.
